Fellow Columbians,

Today is your last chance to help Lou Hensley and Clay Morgan get on the ballot.

You should stop by the Club membership Office  today between 9 and 5 p.m. and sign their petitions.

• You should do it if you believe members matter.

• You should do it if you want your voice to be heard.

• You should do it if you are for openness and transparency.

Lou and Clay will be at the Club today between 3-5 p.m. to answer any questions you might have.

If you've already signed the petitions, thanks.  We appreciate it.   If you haven't, hopefully we can get the chance to thank you later today.

Time to Beat the Clock

Today, tomorrow and Monday.  That's it.  Those are the remaining days we have left to gather signatures to get Lou Hensley and Clay Morgan on the ballot.

If we still had the 10% membership signature rule this would have been a cakewalk, unfortunately the Board changed the rules and it's now 25%.  So where we would have needed 135 member signatures, it's now closer to 300.  And we can only get them from 9 to 5 p.m. during the week.  This is why it's so crucial for you to swing by the Club over the next three weekdays and stop by the membership office.

We always knew it would be a steep hill to climb, but like the old saying goes, "nothing ventured, nothing gained."

So come by the Club today, tomorrow or Monday and sign Lou and Clay's petition to get them on the ballot.  It's the only way we can have an election and the only way you can have your voice heard.

You deserve a vote because you deserve a choice.

If you're free this Friday, 2/21, come by the Club and do a two-for-one.  Enjoy Happy Hour and sign the petitions for Lou Hensley and Clay Morgan to get on the ballot.

Happy Hour starts at 5:30, but you want to get there before 5 so you sign Lou and Clay's petitions at the membership office. 

Then come on by the Harrison Room and Grille.  Talk to Lou and Clay and enjoy a cocktail or two.

You'll learn why Lou and Clay love the Club and they will share some ideas they have on how to help make the Club even better.

And if you can't come by Friday, stop by the Club membership office sometime this week between now and next Monday February 24th from 9-5 p.m. and sign their petition forms.

So Who Are Lou & Clay?

Hey Fellow Columbians...

We've asked you to swing by the Club for a few minutes this week and sign nominating petitions to get Clay Morgan and Lou Hensley on the ballot.  

Some of you have asked for a little more information about them. We're happy to provide it. 

Clay is an attorney who served in the US Navy from 1995 until 1999, where he was deployed twice to the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Southern Watch.  He graduated from Illinois State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.  Following Undergrad, he worked for Sentinel a California based company that remote monitors offenders sentenced to home detention nation-wide.  In 2007 he  attended Widener University School of Law in Delaware, where he graduated early in 2009. He started his own law practice, The Morgan Law Office, on July 4, 2010, and continues to practice law there to the present time.  

Lou is the Vice-President of Corporate Banking at the National Bank of Indianapolis. He's a 1977 graduate of DePauw University, receiving a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Accounting & Business Administration.  He has over 35 years in the banking industry, with the past 24 years focused on Commercial Corporate Lending.  He began his career at Merchants National Bank, which became National City Bank, and most recently at The National Bank of Indianapolis.  He is an active leader in many civic and community groups which include Kids Voice, Sigma Chi Fraternity, Impact Youth, United Hope Foundation, and The ABC, among many others.

Both are great guys and would serve the Club well.   We just need your help getting them on the ballot.

All you have to do is swing by the membership office between now and next Monday February 24th from 9-5 p.m. and sign their petition forms.

Clay and Lou stand more openness and transpanecy and most importantly, putting members first.  But they need your help.

You deserve a choice.  So swing by the Club and make it happen!

 

Come to the Club & Make a Difference

Fellow Columbians,

If you get a chance, come by the Club and help get Lou Hensley and Clay Morgan on the ballot for our next election.

You know the Board changed the rules so now we need to get 300 member signatures to get on the ballot.  Lou and Clay are stepping up and running for the Board and they need your help.

Lou has a ton of experience as a banker.  Clay is an attorney and represents the next generation Columbians.

And like you, they both love the Club and want to make it even better for the members.  But they can't get on the ballot unless YOU sign their petitions between now and February 24.

Unfortunately, the new rules say petitions can only be signed between 9 and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday at the membership office.

So whether it's right after your morning workout, before lunch or getting ready for an after work cocktail with friends, stop by and sign in.

You deserve a choice in the next election.

Our First Board Meeting

We had our first board meeting last night.  There is a summary in an e-mail that we will be sending out  to you today.

So, What's Next?

Fellow Club Members,

Now that the euphoria of our victory on April 11 has died down a bit, we figured it was time to share with you what's next.

Well, first of all, we want to thank you again for your support.  All three of us go to Columbia Club with a new sense of purpose each time we visit and we could not have done this without you.

We have decided that we will keep this blog going as way to stay in touch with the membership.  We will let you know what the Board is doing and how its decisions impact you.  You can also use this blog to field questions or concerns you want us to take to the Board.  You can also e-mail us, our addresses are below.  We ran on a campaign of openness and transparency and we plan to keep that promise. 

With that said, our first Board meeting is April 29 at 5 p.m.  You are welcome to come watch.  Please note, only Board members can participate, but we feel that it is important for you to know what's going on and if you can, see things for yourself first hand.


Thanks again for your support.  We promise not to let you down.
